OUR STORY

EcoPress_110425_NRD-hi-8.jpg

Hello! If you’re new here, my name is Sam Mejia, founder of EcoPress Sacramento ♻️.

I am an artist, maker, and environmental advocate who’s passionate about turning plastic waste into something meaningful.

EcoPress began with a simple idea: what if we could take the #2 HDPE plastic we use every day (like milk caps and cleaning bottles) & transform it into local and functional art instead of sending it to the landfill?

Now, we are working to bring the community together through neighborhood clean-ups, plastic waste collection sites, and upcycling workshops to make this idea become reality... all from our new upcycling art studio in Old Sacramento!

We hope you join our mission to rethink your recycling and remake our plastic waste into something useful!

YUP!
WE'LL ACTUALLY USE YOUR PLASTIC.

What kinds of plastic do we need

to make upcycled goods?
